1.  How can I get documents notarized?
City Hall has three notaries that are available to notarize documents for Orchard Lake residents free of charge.  Although you are likely to find one available, it is suggested that you call City Hall at 248-682-2400 before your arrival.

2.  When are my taxes due?
Summer Taxes are due September 1st and Winter Taxes are due February 14th. For more information on taxes, visit Assessing & Taxes.

3.  When is trash picked up?
Weekly collections of rubbish, recycling, and yard waste are made on Mondays. It should be placed at the curb or at the edge of the street between 6:00 PM on Sunday evening and 7:00 AM on Monday morning. For more information regarding waste disposal visit Waste Disposal.

4.  When does yard waste pick-up begin and end?
Yard waste begins the first week of April and runs through November. For more information regarding waste disposal visit Waste Disposal.

5.   How do I arrange for disposal of large items?
If you have a large item for special pickup, you may call City Hall at 248-682-2400 to make special arrangements for it. These items are picked up with a special truck on the same day as waste disposal.

6.   What are construction hours?
Construction may take place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except in the case of an emergency affecting public health or safety. Saturday construction is limited to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Exterior construction is prohibited on Sundays and holidays. For more information see General Ordinance #9.10.05
